Sydney, Australia, 15 October 2014: Leading food processing equipment manufacturer FOODesign, a tna company, has launched its automated, hot oil batch-pro® 12 series of cookers and fryers internationally. Already popular in the USA, FOODesign’s innovative model offers an efficient way to cook root and other vegetable products, such as potato, carrot, taro, beetroot and parsnip chips. With heat capacities ranging from 90 to 272 kilograms per hour, FOODesign’s cutting-edge batch fryer optimises output while offering unrivalled levels of performance and reliability.
FOODesign’s direct-fired batch-pro® 12 system delivers both efficiency and sustainability for the processing of root vegetable chips. Coupled with the machine’s high efficiency burner design, production can be increased while consistency is maintained. For example, a FOODesign batch-pro® 12 system allows batch-by-batch cooking of thicker potato slices for higher-quality, crunchier chips- making every bite a great tasting experience. Precise temperature profiling systems and quick heat recovery capabilities safeguard consistency in both flavour and colour on every batch.
With increased emphasis on waste reduction, FOODesign has gone to great lengths to ensure product sustainability and efficiency. The batch-pro® 12 series of cookers incorporates an innovative continuous oil filtration system to help remove both fine and large particles. During cooking, potato slices take on 23 per cent of the oil, meaning 77 per cent remains after batch frying. The remaining oil is subsequently filtered out and blended with fresh oil to return levels to 100 per cent. Alongside this continuous oil circulation system, full temperature control is also maintained through constant and zone control systems, offering ultimate heat regulation in the cooking and frying process.
As well as delivering unmatched capacity in processing terms, the machine’s mechanical components are easily accessible and can be serviced quickly, ensuring smooth production and long-life assurance. Thanks to the design’s heavy duty construction, the FOODesign’s batch-pro® 12 series can endure decades of demanding use, allowing for a lengthy period of operation and reduced total cost of ownership.
Commenting on the launch, FOODesign’s sales manager Neil Anderson, said: “After 20 years of bringing innovative solutions to our customers in the USA, we have decided to launch our groundbreaking batch-pro® 12 series of cookers and fryers internationally. We are dedicated to offering the highest levels of performance and technical expertise to our customers. As such, the batch-pro® 12 series is the ultimate solution for every food manufacturer that wants to boost productivity while delivering the highest-quality standard in food, taste and safety.”
FOODesign also offers a complete line of equipment accessories to optimise its design, enabling the product to suit a variety of industrial needs. These accessories include steam hoods, oil demister units, potato slicing and slice infeed equipment, seasoning machinery and much more.
